Position Overview Position Title: Locums - Orthopaedic Surgery Profession: Physician Specialty: Orthopaedic Surgery Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Position Type: Locum Tenens Coverage Type: Call Only Practice Details Practice Setting: Both outpatient and inpatient Patients Per Shift: 1-2 Bed In Department: 19 Rounding: Assigned patients EMR System: MEDHOST Responsibilities and Expectations Primary Responsibilities: Provide call coverage for orthopaedic surgery cases Manage and treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions Perform surgeries and follow-up care as needed Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care Participate in rounds for assigned patients Requirements and Qualifications Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery (fellowship training preferred) ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS required Licensing: Must meet state licensing requirements for Utah; temporary privileges available Experience: Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings is required Schedule and Coverage Shift Details: Call coverage primarily, with potential for additional duties Initial coverage dates: August 16-19 (7am start) Ongoing coverage needs anticipated Allowed Holidays: 4th of July Thanksgiving Day New Year's Day Memorial Day Christmas Day Labor Day Additional Information This locum tenens position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality orthopaedic care.
