Roles & Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized respiratory care plans Implement, evaluate and revise therapy plans to achieve best patient outcomes Perform diagnostic testing including arterial blood gases (ABGs), pulmonary function testing (PFTs), EKGs, bronchoscopy assistance and pulse oximetry Safely transport patients within the hospital and between facilities as needed Document all assessments, interventions and patient responses accurately in EPIC Provide on-call coverage and respond to urgent respiratory needs per facility policy Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care Qualifications Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC (required) Active BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications; PALS and NRP required or strongly preferred Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (posting indicates 2 years) Prior experience with electronic medical records — EPIC experience preferred Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP) Valid driver's license (DL must be submitted) and ability to be in-state for orientation week Education Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP) Knowledge & Skills Strong skills in patient assessment and respiratory care planning Proficient in ABGs, PFTs, EKGs, bronchoscopy support and pulse oximetry Experience with acute care respiratory therapy in hospital settings Comfortable documenting and charting in EPIC and other EMRs Ability to work independently, handle on-call responsibilities and adapt to flexible schedules Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with nursing and physician teams Benefits Generous housing stipend options available for travel clinicians Medical, dental & vision coverage to keep you healthy 401(k) retirement savings plan to plan for your future Paid Time Off so you can recharge between shifts Licensure assistance and reimbursement to keep paperwork painless Travel reimbursement to help with your move to Lehi Referral bonus program — bring a friend and everyone wins A supportive team and unit leadership that values your expertise Continuing education support and opportunities to grow clinically Travel Perks: Explore Lehi, UT Lehi sits in the heart of Utah Valley with easy access to outdoor adventures and family-friendly attractions.
