Job Description:
Intermountain Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Medical
Assistant to join our ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) department. This
position offers the opportunity to work closely with top-tier ENT
specialists and provide vital support in patient care within a
leading not-for-profit healthcare system. Our team is known for its
innovative approach and commitment to quality, servicing the
community through our extensive network of hospitals and clinics in
Utah. The ideal candidate will assist in daily clinical operations,
ensuring efficient patient flow and the highest standards of
medical care. Assist ENT specialists during examinations and minor
procedures. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize medical
instruments, and ensure necessary supplies are ready for use.
Conduct basic diagnostic tests, including audiometric screening and
tympanometry under the supervision of healthcare providers. Manage
patient intake by recording medical histories and documenting
symptoms. Schedule appointments, manage follow-up visits, and
maintain patient records with utmost confidentiality. Provide
patients with clear pre- and post-appointment instructions,
ensuring a smooth patient experience. Support the healthcare team
in maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Proficiency
in clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering
medications, and performing basic diagnostic tests. Strong
organizational skills for handling medical records and appointment
scheduling. Excellent communication skills for interacting with
patients, families, and medical staff. Ability to work effectively
in a team-oriented healthcare environment. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification as a
Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited institution. CPR/BLS
certification by the American Heart Association or equivalent.
