General Manager at The Nelson Cottage by High West plays a pivotal
role in delivering unforgettable guest experiences and driving the
success of our unique venue. Reporting to the Sr Hospitality
Manager, this leader collaborates closely with both Front of House
(FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams to ensure seamless operations
and exceptional hospitality. We are seeking a dynamic leader with a
passion for business growth, operational excellence, and guest
service. The ideal candidate is committed to profitability, has a
sharp business acumen, and excels at creating memorable dining
experiences that transform guests into lifelong High West
Ambassadors. Success in this role is achieved by relentlessly
focusing on outstanding whiskey, food, and cocktails, while
consistently embodying the distinctive culture and high hospitality
standards of High West. Responsibilities Champion the HW Mission
and Vision: Serve as Manager On Duty throughout the week,
consistently delivering a “5 Star” guest experience for every
visitor. Recruit, Train, and Retain Top Talent: Lead the hiring,
onboarding, and ongoing development of exceptional Front of House
(FOH) team members to ensure a high-performing staff. Drive
Operational Excellence: Set clear direction and provide hands-on
leadership on the floor to maintain superior service standards and
operational efficiency. Ensure Immaculate Cleanliness: Collaborate
with team members to uphold rigorous cleanliness and sanitation
standards across all FOH stations and throughout the entire
facility, both inside and out. Develop and Mentor FOH Staff: Foster
a culture of continuous improvement by coaching, providing
constructive feedback, and holding team members accountable for
their performance and growth. Manage Nelson Cottage Team: Oversee
and support the Nelson Cottage staff to ensure seamless hospitality
operations. Execute Operational Initiatives: Complete assigned
tasks and special projects from the Senior Manager with accuracy,
efficiency, and within established timelines. Facilitate Effective
Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with all HW
employees to ensure alignment with company policies and successful
execution of key initiatives. Lead Pre-Service Activities: Organize
and direct pre-service meetings to prepare the team and set
expectations for each shift. Conduct Performance Evaluations:
Collaborate with peers and direct reports to deliver thorough
annual performance reviews for all FOH employees. Support
Multi-Venue Operations: Provide operational support across all HW
Hospitality venues as needed, ensuring consistency in service and
guest experience. Plan and Deliver Seasonal Training: Assist in the
preparation and facilitation of employee training sessions for each
new season or menu launch (e.g., Summer/Winter). Engage in
Operational Strategy: Actively participate in operational meetings,
strategy sessions, and project planning to drive improvements in
efficiency, customer satisfaction, innovation, and brand growth.
Maintain Flexible Availability: Demonstrate open and adaptable
scheduling to meet the demands of business needs and customer
expectations. Minimum Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 3 years
in a guest-facing floor management or supervisory role within a
fine dining restaurant environment. Leadership: Demonstrated
ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams while
consistently exceeding guest service expectations. Communication:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven
ability to foster collaboration and teamwork. Problem-Solving:
Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound
decisions and resolve issues swiftly in a dynamic, fast-paced
environment. Business Acumen: Proven proficiency in balancing the
priorities of guest satisfaction, staff development, and business
objectives to drive overall success. Preferred Qualifications
Leadership Experience: 4 years of guest-facing floor management in
a restaurant or bar environment, with demonstrated success in
overseeing daily operations and elevating guest service. Fine
Dining Expertise: At least 2 years of experience working in a fine
dining or upscale restaurant, with a strong understanding of
high-end service standards. Comprehensive Service Background:
Extensive hands-on experience as a server and/or bartender in
similar hospitality settings, with a deep knowledge of both
front-of-house operations. Staff Development: Proven ability to
mentor, coach, and promote team members within the organization,
supporting career growth and building a strong internal talent
pipeline. Operational Excellence: Experience in designing,
implementing, and refining operational policies and procedures to
achieve and surpass key business goals and performance metrics.

Retail The salary range for this role is: $52,000.00 - $74,900.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we
would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our
compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or
positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect
several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic
market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may
ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range
may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within
the salary range will be based on several factors including, but
not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location,
relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience,
skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel
requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective
bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. At
